The SCA (Single Connector Attachment) II interface combines the Data, Power, and SCSI ID connectors into a single 80-pin connector. To use a SCA drive in a standard system or subsystem enclosure, you need an adapter to convert the 80-pin connector back into separate Data, Power, and SCSI ID connectors. With this adapter, you can make this conversion with ease as you adapt an existing 68-pin ribbon cable to a SCA II 80-pin connection. Wired for Low Voltage Differential and Single-Ended for maximum compatibility, this adapter includes an onboard power connection and jumpers for ID Select. Required for Ultra2/Ultra3 SCA hard drives to achieve 80/160 Mbps bus speed.
